SPAH have listened to patients and families who told us that providing information about charities, and the support and advice they can offer would be helpful.  Details of support groups and charities can be found below.

The Contact Scotland charity provides support, advice, and information for families through their website and free confidential helpline. They also provide guidance on applying for Disability Living Allowance (DLA).  To find out more visit the Contact Scotland website.

The Hope Project Scotland is a Glasgow based charity supporting people with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. You can find out more by visiting the Hope Project website.
