This group was established in March 2022, and it aims to
- Update the indications for genitalium testing in Scotland to ensure a consistent approach.
- Discuss how fully to implement the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) guidelines for genitalium testing.
- Roll out of new platforms for Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC) happening in many health boards – as result of Abbott.
- Link with the HIV and syphilis self-taken testing programme to assess impact on laboratory services.
