Membership
SMVN membership comprises all staff of all grades working in NHS Medical Microbiology, Virology, Mycology and Parasitology Departments including Medical staff, Clinical Scientists, Biomedical Scientists and Support workers.
Activities
The SMVN is a diagnostic network that provides a systematic approach to service redesign, integration and improvement via sharing good practice, influencing change, informing service planning and providing specialist advice and mutual support.
The SMVN works to an annual business plan and publishes annual reports. Many of its planned aims and objectives are delivered by its sub-groups which are led and populated by the SMVN membership.
