The Scottish Perinatal Mental Health Care Pathways – Parent-Infant Therapy

Pathway 5: What is parent-infant therapy? How can it help me and my baby?

If you’ve found it difficult to adjust to being a parent or you’re struggling to form a bond with your baby, help is available from your GP or health visitor. If difficulties aren’t settling, then specialist parent-infant help may be available through your local Community Perinatal Mental Health Team (CPMHT) or Infant Mental Health (IMH) service.
