Referrals

Glasgow Centre Referrals

To refer a patient with HepatoCellular Carcinoma (HCC) please email ggc.mdthccggc@nhs.scot

To refer a patient with cancer of the pancreas, gallbladder, duodenum, ampulla or bile duct to the Glasgow centre please contact the relevant department and request a referral form by emailing ggc.woshpbreferrals@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

The following information will be required:

  • Name of referring consultant;
  • Current performance status;
  • Current ward/home;
  • Past medical history/drug history;
  • Current bloods (LFT’s, Us’&E’s and FBC, PT).
  • Tumour markers (HCC is AFP and HPB is CA19.9)
  • All imaging reports are required

Edinburgh Centre Referrals

To refer a patient please download the appropriate HPB referral form from the NHS Lothian Intranet and email the completed form to loth.riehpbmdt@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk

Selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) is available from this centre.  Scottish patients can be referred using this form and please email referrals to graeme.weir@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk and copy loth.riehpbmdt@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk

Liver transplantation is available from this centre and please email referrals to SLTU@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk.  A service development evaluation is planned on the Duvoux criteria for down-staging of HCC for use within the UK.

Resectable Perihilar Cholangiocarcinoma: Please follow the link to referral form for all patients with Hilar CCA and email to loth.riehpbmdt@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk

Dundee Centre Referrals

To refer a patient with HepatoCellular Carcinoma (HCC) cancer of the pancreas, gallbladder, duodenum, ampulla or bile duct to the Dundee centre please contact the relevant department and request a referral form by emailing tay.cancermdt@nhs.scot

The following information will be required:

  • Name of referring consultant;
  • Current performance status;
  • Current ward/home;
  • Past medical history/drug history;
  • Current bloods (LFT’s, Us’&E’s and FBC, PT).
  • Tumour markers (HCC is AFP and HPB is CA19.9)
  • All imaging reports are required

Inverness/Aberdeen Centre Referrals

To refer a patient with HepatoCellular Carcinoma (HCC) cancer of the pancreas, gallbladder, duodenum, ampulla or bile duct to the Inverness/Aberdeen centre please contact the relevant department and request a referral form by emailing gram.arimdts@nhs.scot

The following information will be required:

  • Name of referring consultant;
  • Current performance status;
  • Current ward/home;
  • Past medical history/drug history;
  • Current bloods (LFT’s, Us’&E’s and FBC, PT).
  • Tumour markers (HCC is AFP and HPB is CA19.9)
