Saturday 25 March 2023, NICCS Patient Information Event – face to face event, Edinburgh Training & Conference Venue, attendance is free for all patients/families, or anyone affected by inherited cardiac condition. April 2022 Update:

NICCS is aware there are current supply issues in medication in some parts of Scotland. This may affect patient with:

  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (if prescribed disopyramide)
  • Long QT syndrome (if prescribed nadolol)

Most people can have alternative medicine and dose adjustments.

Patients and Professionals – please contact the network if there are difficulties in obtaining clinical advice in your local area.

NICCS Patient Experience Questionnaire – now LIVE

NICCS aims to support improvements in the diagnosis, treatment and outcomes for people with inherited cardiac conditions (ICC). The Network have prepared a Patient Experience Questionnaire to understand what is important to people affected by ICCs, to find out what works well and how we can tailor services to better meet the needs of people affected by ICCs.

ICD10 / READ Codes – the appropriate ICD10 and READ codes to be included in NICCS clinical letters to other professionals to ensure correct diagnosis is recorded for the patients. Read more here

NICCS Annual Symposium is being organised on Thursday 9th September 2021 as a free event for all the staff involved in Inherited Cardiac Conditions in Scotland. It is a virtual event via MS Teams and the registration would be required to attend.
