The Steering Group are a collection of biochemistry specialists who come together from across Scotland who provide strategic direction for the SCBN, agree its workplan and monitor its progress. The Group meets four times a year.
The Steering Group is composed of the following:
- A Lead Clinician
- A Scientific Manager
- A Programme Manager
- A Programme Support Officer
- The Laboratory Manager and Clinical Lead from each NHS Health Board
- Representatives from the Royal College of Pathologists,
Association for Clinical Biochemistry, Institute of Biomedical Science and other members co-opted to represent the various working groups.
