Founded in 2000, Kidney Kids Scotland is the only Scottish charity dedicated exclusively to supporting children with renal and urology conditions and their families across the country. Kidney Kids Scotland works in close partnership with consultants, medical professionals, and welfare teams to identify where support is most urgently needed. Their efforts include:
• offering financial assistance to families facing the challenges of a child’s illness, without means testing, to help with travel, living expenses, and household essentials. (Initial referral from a medical practitioner or social worker)
• creating connections between families going through similar experiences, offering emotional support and a listening ear.
• providing essential medical equipment to hospitals across Scotland.
