The Edinburgh Centre for Neuro-Oncology (ECNO) is split between Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the Western General Hospital.
The Edinburgh Centre for Neuro-Oncology (ECNO) is based within the Western General Hospital. ECNO provides a base for administrative and clinical integration of staff from Neurology, Neurosurgery and Oncology who have a special interest in Neuro-Oncology and who are involved in the joint Neuro-Oncology clinic. ECNO also provides a focus for initial referral, advice, information, co-ordinated management and patient support in Neuro-Oncology.
ECNO has a full-time secretary, Neuro-Oncology Specialist Nurses and Neuro-Oncology consultants. The team is supported by consultants in neuroradiology and neuropathology who provide diagnostic and management help with interpretation of images and histopathology in the Neuro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Meeting (MDM) every Wednesday.
