The Child Brain Injury Trust was established by a group of health professionals in 1991 to research and provide information regarding the effects of ‘traumatic’ injury on a child’s developing brain. They are a UK-wide charity with offices across Scotland, and provide support to families and professionals working with children and young people. They work in hospitals, schools and the community.

The Child Brain Injury Trust has a support service called the Brain Injury Information Card, suitable for young people aged 11-18. The idea behind the card is that young people can carry the card as they go about daily life, and present it in situations where they need a little help and understanding. To apply, see here.
