Prior to moving to Lothian in October 2022 he worked in NHS Fife as a consultant psychiatrist for 14 years. He has always had an interest in perinatal mental health throughout his career as a GP and psychiatrist, but it was working closely with maternity services as a liaison psychiatrist in Fife that his interest grew. He was instrumental in the development of NHS Fife’s Community Perinatal Mental Health Team prior to moving to Lothian to work full time in perinatal mental health. Gavin is passionate in providing person centred care and improving the outcomes for mothers and infants.
