HEARTe Education Awareness Resource & Training through E-learning – target audience:

This e-learning resource is aimed at health and social care staff who may:

  • be new to cardiac/heart disease – such as rotational staff or those new in post
  • wish to refresh / extend their existing cardiac knowledge and skills
  • be community based with a mixed pathology case load including cardiac patients
  • have limited access to other cardiac specific training

The website may also be accessed by patients, carers and other members of the general public.

Life after cardiac arrest

‘Life after cardiac arrest’ website provides support and information for those who have experienced an out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), their families and those who have been bereaved by OHCA.

Core learning in inherited cardiac conditions

Core Learning in Inherited Cardiac Conditions – the aim of this programme is to provide core training in inherited cardiac conditions (ICC). The target audience – doctors in training, specialist nurses, genetic counsellors, cardiac physiologists, non-ICC specialist cardiologists and primary care physicians.

This is an annual online course which comprises six half-day sessions over one year.  Each session includes a series of talks, panel discussions and an interactive MDT for case presentations. Live sessions encourage participation, and are recorded for flexible, on demand viewing.

Access to the education programme and resources are free. Registration for the ICC education programme will ensure you receive login details to the live sessions and certificates of attendance when complete.
