Scottish Cancer Network National Event Friday 8th March
The Scottish Cancer Network National Event was held on Friday 8th March.
The event was an opportunity to learn more about key developments, explore relevant themes and discuss hot topics from across the country and the wider community.
Key highlights of the day included:
- Collaboration with the International Cancer Benchmarking Partnership.
- Dr Helen Bulbeck, a noted speaker on patient advocacy and patient and carer representative for SCN Clinical Management Pathways, speaking on shared decision making.
- Highlights of the established Breast Cancer Clinical Management Pathway and what has been learnt from this process.
- Interactive breakout sessions including access to cancer medicines and value-based health care, supporting patient engagement, and addressing workforce planning.
- Presentations and discussion relating to the challenges of delivering specialist care while maintaining wide geographical access.
- Dr John Harden, Chair of the Scottish Cancer Strategy Board, hosting a panel of event speakers and delegates to take questions from the audience.
