Scottish Mesothelioma Network is moving!

The Macmillan Scottish Mesothelioma Network (SMN) was established in April 2019 and comprises a team of clinicians dedicated to improving outcomes for patients affected by mesothelioma. Scotland has amongst the highest incidence of mesothelioma in the world – a legacy of the country’s industrial past and historical use of asbestos. Macmillan Cancer Support and Mesothelioma UK have worked with local NHS boards across Scotland to fund this service for the last 3 years. The SNM will now become formally embedded in NHS Scotland, as part of the new Scottish Cancer Network (SCN).
