ASSESS-Meso

A prospective obServational cohort Study collecting data on dEmographics, Symptoms and biomarkerS in people with mesothelioma that will provide a resource for future trials

ASSESS-Meso is an observational study collecting data on demographics, symptoms and biomarkers in people with mesothelioma.

The main aim of this study is to gather information about people with mesothelioma. We want to find out whether there are any specific factors that can affect outcomes. This study will help us understand more about mesothelioma and how we can improve care for people diagnosed with it.

The second aim of the research is to use the information to identify people with mesothelioma who may be eligible to join clinical trials, and to invite selected people to participate in those trials.

The trial is being co-ordinated in Bristol by Dr Anna Bibby, Respiratory consultant and NIHR Research Fellow. If you would like more information about any aspect of the study or to find out if you’re eligible, please speak to a member of SMN team – contact details available on our website.
