Perinatal Mental Health Network Scotland – Core Team<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr Gavin Philipson – Perinatal Mental Health Lead<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dr Gavin Philipson is a Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist in NHS Lothian’s Community Perinatal Mental Health Team and joined the team in September 2023. He originally trained and worked as a General Practitioner before finding his interest lay in mental health and retrained in psychiatry. Prior to moving to Lothian in October 2022 he worked in NHS Fife as a consultant psychiatrist for 14 years. He has always had an interest in perinatal mental health throughout his career as a GP and psychiatrist, but it was working closely with maternity services as a liaison psychiatrist in Fife that his interest grew. He was instrumental in the development of NHS Fife’s Community Perinatal Mental Health Team prior to moving to Lothian to work full time in perinatal mental health. Gavin is passionate in providing person centred care and improving the outcomes for mothers and infants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Carsten Mandt – Senior Programme Manager<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Building on experience in managing local clinical networks, Carsten joined NHS National Services Scotland in 2015 where he has worked in Programme Manager and Senior Programme Manager roles with responsibility for commissioning and managing diverse portfolios of national networks. Carsten has been the Senior Programme Manager for the Perinatal Mental Health Network Scotland since 2022.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Anna J. Paul – Programme Support Officer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Anna joined NSD as the Programme Support Officer for the Perinatal Mental Health Network Scotland in December 2023. Prior to this role, she worked as a Data Analyst for NHS National Services Scotland and also worked previously with the Scottish Government Social Security Scotland Research Team as a Business and Data Management Intern. She has over 20 years Office administration experience and have worked in the NHS for over 10years both in England and Scotland. She has also worked in Adult Mental Health as a Team Secretary for the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust for almost 5years. She has various work experience also in Banking and Finance, Hospitality and Charity organisations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
