The Scottish Pathology Network (SPaN) and the Scottish Strategic Network for Genomic Medicine (SSNGM) hosted their second educational session on 10 December 2024. As part of an ongoing collaboration, the two networks deliver a series of educational sessions for pathology and genomic laboratories, followed by specific subject area webinars. In the second session, we introduced the Pathology Service Overview featuring expert insights from Dr Chee Thum, Consultant Pathologist at NHS Lothian. Dr Thum has a special interest in Ophthalmic Pathology and Molecular Pathology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPAN are excited to be able to announce the first in-person education event in over 2 years. A mixture of general cell pathology and dissection presentations \/case studies will be delivered throughout the day. The programme is still being revised but will be posted to the website asap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This event is free to all members of the pathology community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
